Photography in Los Angeles: Part III – The LA Arts District

Going to the Arts District in LA was so much fun! It was different from what I was expecting but the street art was beautiful and made for unique backgrounds to my photos. I ended up getting to the Arts District at 8 AM on a Sunday because I wanted to avoid crowds and the heat. Good news: no one is there at 8 AM on a Sunday so it left for a lot of time to get great photos. Before or after your exploring, make sure to stop at Blue Bottle Coffee and get an almond iced latte – I was in coffee heaven. The Arts District has a lot of great restaurants to choose from:

  • The Pie Hole
  • The Springs
  • Cafe Gratitude
  • Urth Caffé
  • Zinc Cafe & Market and Bar Mateo
  • Little Bear

I started at the Blue Bottle Coffee section of the district and then drove around from there. Make sure to be safe as there can be some riff raft in that section of town. Just make sure to be aware of your surroundings! I can’t wait to hear about your experience at the Arts District – please let me know your thoughts!
